eXPERIENTIAL DESIGN

From grassroots pop-ups to large-scale cultural activations, I create experiences that connect people and amplify stories. Below are examples that show the depth of my event organizing experience:

SIGNATURE CULTURAL ACTIVATIONS

I design experiences that celebrate culture, bring people together, and amplify belonging.

Example: I spearheaded Airbnb's largest and most visible ERG activation to date: the Asian Night Market. It featured some of the SF/Bay Area's best AAPI small businesses, artists, and civic organizations. 1k+ internal and external guests joined to patronize 30+ vendors, enjoying non-stop live entertainment.

local Community engagement events

I collaborate with local community partners on events that create impact on the ground.

Example: I worked in Airbnb's Community team to host Merchant Walk events (small business pop-ups) attended by Airbnb Hosts and Guests, local officials, and community leaders (each event draws 50+ attendees) including Oakland Chinatown (the event I spearheaded pictured below), and supported the following walks in these corridors (click to see more on each): Mission, Fillmore, Sacramento Street, Excelsior, Divisadero, Outer Richmond, Tenderloin, Jack London Square, and more.

STAKEHOLDER & professional gatherings

I build trust and elevate brand presence with key stakeholders through events, partnerships, and sponsorships.

Example: At Airbnb, for three consecutive years, I partnered with the Welcome Home Breakfast organization to host a fundraiser attended by the SF Mayor and other policy and business leaders (200+ attendees), supporting those experiencing homelessness. I'm very proud of bringing the Airbnb donut wall (pictured below) to life :)

Educational & Virtual programs

I develop educational programs that scale beyond in-person events.

Example: For the Airbnb Entrepreneurship Program that partnered with underrepresented community organizations, I created and facilitated virtual workshops, from one-hour sessions to two-day programs, fostering connection and learning among aspiring hosts.

personal & passion projects

For fun, I also host events that foster creativity and belonging.

Example: I organized a Lunar New Year-themed headdress-making experience in collaboration with an Airbnb Experience Host. I invited my friends, including Dion Lim, ABC7 Anchor, to join me in crafting headdresses by hand as a way to celebrate culture and community. I even captured the event in a short video reel (click on the below right image to play).

For each examples above, I led end-to-end strategy and logistics for IRL and hybrid events, building spaces for belonging while managing vendors and communications.
