From grassroots pop-ups to large-scale cultural activations, I create experiences that connect people and amplify stories. Below are examples that show the depth of my event organizing experience:
SIGNATURE CULTURAL ACTIVATIONS
I design experiences that celebrate culture, bring people together, and amplify belonging.
Example: I spearheaded Airbnb’s largest ERG activation to date: the Asian Night Market. I served as both producer and MC, coordinating programming, logistics, and partnerships for 1,000+ attendees and 30+ vendors. The event celebrated Asian culture, built community pride, and strengthened trust with San Francisco’s Asian American community.

local Community engagement events
I collaborate with local community partners on events that create impact on the ground.
Example: As part of Airbnb’s Community team, I organized Merchant Walk events—pop-ups with local small businesses, Hosts, and community leaders (50+ attendees each). I spearheaded the Oakland Chinatown walk and supported activations across other corridors, including Mission, Fillmore, Sacramento Street, Excelsior, Divisadero, Outer Richmond, Tenderloin, Jack London Square, and more. These events deepened community ties and influenced policymakers’ approach to regulating Airbnb.

STAKEHOLDER & professional gatherings
I build trust and elevate brand presence with key stakeholders through events, partnerships, and sponsorships.
Example: For three consecutive years, I partnered with the Welcome Home Project to host a breakfast fundraiser at Airbnb HQ with the San Francisco Mayor and 200+ leaders. I secured the unprecedented use of Airbnb’s space for external community partners and led event production. The fundraiser supported those experiencing homelessness and secured political endorsements critical to Airbnb’s regulatory wins.

Educational & Virtual programs
I develop educational programs that scale beyond in-person events.
Example: Through the Airbnb Entrepreneurship Program, I created and facilitated virtual workshops ranging from one-hour sessions to two-day intensives. I partnered with underrepresented community organizations to engage aspiring hosts. These workshops fostered connection and unlocked new audiences historically skeptical of Airbnb, supporting host supply acquisition.

personal & passion projects
For fun, I also host events that foster creativity and belonging.
Example: For Lunar New Year 2021, I organized a themed headdress-making experience in collaboration with an Airbnb Experience Host. I invited friends, including Dion Lim, ABC7 Anchor, to handcraft headdresses as a way to celebrate culture and community. The event was featured on ABC7 News, which drove traffic to the small business owner, built bridges between Asian and Black communities, and gave participants a joyful space to connect through creativity.

Across these examples, I led end-to-end strategy and logistics for in-person and hybrid events, designing spaces that foster belonging while managing vendors, communications, and community partnerships.
